Well, we still have that wonderful candy made in our family-owned, family-run store here at Brandt’s Candies, Inc.
The original owners, George and Agnes Brandt, founded Brandt’s Open Kitchen Candies in 1948. Customers were able to watch the candy being made and hand-dipped in the open kitchen behind the showroom. Brandt’s quickly became known throughout the community for the high quality chocolate they produced locally.
When we, Jim and Barbara Phillips, purchased the store in 2005, we decided to use the same tried and true recipes used by the Brandt family and to carry on the process just as it had been done for so many years. Extra care and attention to the slightest detail is essential to produce a quality product. That is why each of our fine chocolates is homemade and hand-dipped. Our homemade centers are made in small batches in copper kettles then cooled on marble tables before they are hand dipped in velvety smooth chocolate. The candy is then hand packed with special care to give you the best assortment of hand-dipped chocolates available.
Keeping the Brandt’s Candies name, we are still doing business the same way, as a family owned, family run business. We are proud to carry on the Brandt’s tradition at the original location, using their original recipes in order to provide our customers with the same timeless quality chocolate candies they remember from childhood.
